Grant Information

Through 50 million euro made available by Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI), the Home Energy Saving (HES) scheme makes grants available to homeowners who are improving the energy efficiency of their homes with measures such as better insulation, more efficient systems for heating the home and the reduction of the home's contribution to the emission of green house gasses.

These grants, which reimburse the homeowner for a portion of the improvement costs, are available for Roof Insulation upgrades, Wall insulation upgrades, upgrades to High-Efficiency Boilers and installation of efficient Heating Control Systems. Existing home-owners, including landlords and those that own multiple properties, are eligible to apply for these grants as long as the property in question was built before 2006 and applications are made on a property-by-property basis.
